Funeral Announcement – Mrs Irmtraut Stevenson


Suddenly but peacefully on 24th February 2026, Irmtraut Elisabeth Berta Margarete Stevenson, (née Klein), aged 91 years, 100 Culduthel Park, Inverness, formerly of St Andrews.  Beloved wife and best friend of Ron, precious mum of Tom and Chris, cherished Omi to William, dear sister to Elvira, a much loved mother in law, step mum and step granny and a special friend to many. 

Funeral Service on Monday 16th March at 11am in St Stephen’s Church, Southside Road, Inverness, to which all are welcome to attend; thereafter cremation private.  Family flowers only please.  Donations in memory of Irmtraut for Cancer Research UK can be given at the service.  Livestream via https://www.youtube.com/@midmillschurch

Funeral Announcement – Laurence Donald

Peacefully, at Eilean Dubh Care Home, Fortrose, on Thursday, 12th February, 2026, Laurence (Laurie), aged 96 years, Drummond Court, Inverness. Former civil engineer. Beloved husband of the late Isabel, much loved dad to Liz, Karen and Lynne and their partners. Cherished grampy, great-grampy and uncle.

Funeral service on Tuesday, 24th February, at 10am, in St Stephen’s Church, Southside Road, Inverness; thereafter to Inverness Crematorium. Parking for the church on Mayfield Road. Flowers welcome or donations for the Activity Fund for Eilean Dubh Care Home can be given at the service.

Service of Union at Midmills Church

A service to celebrate and confirm the union of Inverness: Crown and Inverness: Old High St Stephen’s Churches as Inverness: Midmills will be held in Midmills Church, Kingmills Road, Inverness IV2 3JT on Friday 13 February at 7.00 pm
The service will be led by the Moderator, Rev Janet MacKellar.  The service will be followed by refreshments, and an opportunity to share in fellowship with other members of Cleir Eilean I – the Church of Scotland in the Highlands and Hebrides.   
All are welcome.   Parking is available in Crown School
