Merry Christmas from all at Christian Aid

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas

Dear Old High St Stephen’s Church

We are so grateful for your support this Christmas and throughout 2023. We’re humbled by the unwavering solidarity our supporters show our global neighbours and the multitude of ways in which you do this with your gifts, actions and prayers.
As we prepare for Christmas, we continue to pray for all those people who are enduring immense suffering and the loss of loved ones in the Holy Land.  Thanks to your compassion and gifts to our Middle East Appeal, our established partners in Gaza are responding; for example, our partner PARC is working with local farmers to get fresh vegetables to displaced families many of whom are going days without food and have also provided mobile toilet and washing facilities. We joined with church leaders and Christian organisations from across Britain united in an urgent call for a permanent ceasefire to enable more lifesaving assistance to reach those who need it.

As we reflect over the year, I am pleased to share a review of our work last financial year, which was only made possible by your generous support. Your contributions have played a vital role in our humanitarian responses in some of the most vulnerable places in the world, from Syria to Ukraine and Afghanistan.     This year has brought both challenges and triumphs, and your faithful support for Christian Aid remains a lasting beacon of hope.

Thank you again and from all of us here at Christian Aid we wish you a peaceful Chistmas.
