Funeral Announcement – Rev Andrew Lyon

Andrew was a member of the congregation of Old High St Stephen’s for a number of years and provided pulpit supply on a number of occasions.   The following are details of the funeral arrangements

Andrew was a  Church of Scotland minister for 36 years, firstly at Harthill Parish Church then Fraserburgh West Church and Rathen East Parish Church. Andrew died peacefully at Raigmore Hospital on Saturday 12th October 2024, aged 82 years. 

The Funeral service will be held on Monday 28th October, at 11am in St. Stephen’s Church, Southside Road, Inverness, to which all friends are respectfully invited; thereafter cremation private. Car parking available on Mayfield Road.

Please uphold his wife Sheena and their family in prayer at this sad time.

Funeral Announcement – Mrs Agnes Gordon

Mrs Gordon, of Mayfield Road, Inverness, died on 13 October and her funeral will be held at St Stephen’s Church on Tuesday 22 October at 1pm. All are welcome to attend. No flowers please.

Donations welcome for Highland Children’s Trust.

Memorial Service – Kenneth Cantlay (Ken)

We are sad to announce the death of Kenneth George Cantlay, who passed away peacefully, on October 6, 2024, aged 76, in the care of the Highland Hospice. Following a private cremation, his wife Val and children Alistair and Fiona, warmly invite family and friends to a memorial service and celebration of Ken’s life at St Stephen’s Church, Southside Road, Inverness, on Monday, October 21, at 2pm. Donations for the Highland Hospice. Family flowers only. Arrangements by D. Chisholm & Sons.

Ken served our congregation so well as an elder for 45 years, member of the choir and community choir, Session Clerk, Treasurer and in so many other ways.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Val and their family at this time.
