Eco-Congregation Scotland, of which Midmills Church is now a member, is holding a conference on 2nd October on the topic: “How can your church’s money help build a better world? The transition to net zero requires capital. Churches and Faith Communities are in a unique position to demonstrate leadership in stewarding their assets in a way that honours God’s creation.”

The planning that is ongoing at Midmills towards insulating the church and fitting solar panels is our current response to this challenge, but there will be many other things we can do as we go forward. One is simply talking more together about what needs to be achieved. We’re hoping that the Get-Togethers on Tuesday afternoons will be a place where that will happen, amongst the parents and also involving the children.
