Christian Aid Global Hunger Appeal

Christian Aid Global Hunger Appeal Poster

Over 30 million people in 20 countries are teetering on the brink of famine.

Now is the time to act and save lives. A farmer and mum of six from Northern Bahr El Ghazal, South Sudan, Asunta’s crops were destroyed by flooding. Now, there’s little left to eat.

This is a global hunger emergency. The Covid-19 pandemic, violent conflict and the climate crisis have all increased global hunger. Now, people in countries including South Sudan, Ethiopia,

Afghanistan and Burkina Faso are facing the very real threat of starvation. No one should face acute malnutrition, be forced to flee their homes or have to resort to child marriage as a coping strategy.

Donate to the local  Inverness and the Highlands Global Hunger Appeal online. Or with cash or card at Old High Church on 25 July or St Stephen’s on 1 August. Many Thanks. Deborah Macrae.
