The Passion

Information from the ReJesus websitebig passion

This Sunday, Palm Sunday, sees the first episode of The Passion,
which will be screened on BBC1 at 8pm. Written by Frank Deasy (who
also wrote Prime Suspect 7) and produced by Nigel Stafford-Clark (of
Bleak House), The Passion is a fresh and contemporary retelling of
the story of Jesus, doing for today's audience what "Jesus of
Nazareth" did in the 1970s.

In the past couple of months, we've been working with the BBC to
produce a new section of pages on the death and resurrection of
Jesus, with a focus on The Passion. Our aim has been to provide
videos, pictures and text that will engage people who see the drama
and want to find out more about Jesus and his message.

A lot of The Passion material is now online, and includes exclusive
video interviews with the actors who played Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
We also have stills from the drama, FAQS about the Easter event, a
review by our resident film critic, and a feature on how Jesus has
been portrayed in eight famous films. You can find it all here...
