Blue Flash Challenge to end at Old High Church

You are invited to a service at the Old High Church on Saturday 25 June at 11am to mark the end of the ‘Blue Flash Challenge’, in which a group of veteran members of the 4th Royal Tank Regiment will have trekked from Roybridge to Inverness over a 24 hour period, a distance just short of 60 miles, to raise money for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity to support the children of service personnel killed in action.

Holy Week and Easter 2016

HOLY WEEK services will be at 7pm, Monday to Wednesday at Crown Church.
There will be a Communion Service at Crown for Maundy Thursday, service at 7pm, with a meal starting at 6.15pm, at Crown Church, to which everyone is welcome.
We will host an ecumenical Good Friday service at 7pm at St Stephen’s. This will be a meditative service, featuring music from our choir.
EASTER SUNDAY service at St Stephen’s starting in the garden, 10am. Old High service at 11.15am.
CAMERON HOUSE EASTER PRAISE Join us on Easter Sunday at 3pm for worship with the residents of Cameron House, led by Peter, who is the chaplain to the home. All welcome.

There will be services on the Sunday after Christmas at the usual times of 10am (St Stephen’s) and 11.15am (Old High).

A national day of prayer on eve of the referendum

The Church of Scotland is supporting an ecumenical initiative to encourage prayer the day before the referendum.
Old High St Stephen’s is making our buildings available to those who want to pray or reflect.
OH smallThis Wednesday the Old High Church will be open for reflection from 10am-4pm
There will be a short prayer service at 12noon.
The Old High will also be open as usual from 10-12 noon and from 2-4pm on Thursday- Referendum Day- and the following day (Friday). 
St Stephen's cropped (2)There will also be prayers at 7.30pm on Wednesday at St Stephen’s, Southside Road.
All are welcome to these events.
Here are details of the ecumenical prayer initiative, which has been commended by the Moderator of the General Assembly.

Services during the summer

Here is a list of services for the summer period.
Please note that:

  • there will be a congregational service this coming Sunday at St Stephen’s, with no service at the Old High
  • the St Stephen’s June Communion has been changed from 22 June to 29 June

Prayers for Christian Unity Week: 23 January

Christian Unity 2013The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is 18- 25 January.
You are invited to a brief service of prayers, using materials produced for the Week of Prayer, at St Stephen’s Church, Southside Road, at 12.30pm this Wednesday, 23 January.
Bring a packed lunch for afterwards, if you like- tea and coffee will be provided!
