SUNDAE SUNDAY We will be having an all-age service on Sunday 1 June, with ice cream afterwards, at St Stephen's at 10.30am. This will be a Congregational Service- a chance for us all to worship together, so if you normally worship at the Old High please remember to come to St Stephen's that day! The next Congregational Service will be the Kirking of the Council at the Old High on Sunday September 7 at 10.30am.

KIRK SESSION AND CONGREGATIONAL BOARD MEETING - 13 MAY AT 7.30pm IN THE OLD HIGH CHURCH HALL The Presbytery Quinquennial Committee have requested a follow up meeting with all Officebearers on the above date. Copies of their original report are available today in both Churches along with copies of the Session Minutes for Elders not on e-mail. It is hoped there will be a good attendance at this meeting. Members of the Board will be free to leave at the end of the Quinquennial Meeting.

Bible Study The Bible Study Group, led by Douglas Clyne, will focus on The Lord’s Prayer and meet in St Stephen’s vestry at 7pm tonight and for the next three weeks. Everyone is most welcome to this or any of the sessions.

URGENT REQUEST - CAN YOU HELP? We have someone at McEwen Court (Kingsmills area) who would like to attend services at St Stephen's, but is in a wheelchair, and needs a lift to church (any size of car). He also requires some help when he is at Church. If you can help with a lift, or would be willing to help him in Church, please give the Minister a call (01462 250802).

Healing Service There will be a Healing Service in St Stephen’s at 4pm today, led by Rev Peter Donald, to which all are welcome

Christian Aid Week 11-17 May Whilst the response from regular collectors has been great, Darrell reports that the calling for new blood has been somewhat disappointing. We have a large number of new houses in the area covered by Old High St Stephen’s and urgently need a further six volunteers. Just an hour of your time during this important week in the Christian calendar would be appreciated. We are also looking for some help in counting the money on Monday 19 May from 16.00hrs in the vestry at St Stephen’s where Stuart Mackenzie will make you most welcome.  (Please note the change of date.)

Christian Aid Coffee Morning to be held in the Old High hall on Saturday 17 May, from 10am until noon. Donations for Baking and Plant stalls would be appreciated. Tickets £2.50.

OLD HIGH CHURCH CONCERT On Tuesday 27 May a concert by the Maryville College Concert Choir from Tennessee, USA will perform choral music of many styles in the Old High Church, Church Street, Inverness at 7.30pm. The choir is an auditioned ensemble of some 40 singers and serves as the College’s main liaison with various church and school communities. The choir goes on tour every Spring, performing at churches and schools. The 2008 Spring Choir Tour to Scotland is a “Presbyterian Heritage Tour” in which the Old High Church is pleased to be participating. All proceeds of the concert go towards the Restoration Fund of the Willis Organ.

The Care Group will meet in St Stephen’s vestry on Tuesday 20 May at 7.30pm.

IONA WEEKEND We are still planning to have a weekend in Iona from 13-15 September, to be led by the Minister. Accommodation is limited. If you would like to go, please call Peter on 01463 250802.
