HOLY COMMUNION will be celebrated at the St Stephen’s today. All welcome at the Lord’s Table. There will be a retiring collection in aid of Mary’s Meals.

LENT STUDY: FAITH FOR THE FUTURE Peter, our minister, will be offering a Lent Study and discussion on Sunday nights in Lent. We live in an age of uncertainty, where many fear for the future. Brexit, the rise far right politics, climate change, and much more, are causes of concern for many people. The prophets on the Old Testament spoke to people in their times of uncertainty- what can we learn from them that would help us to have hope today and in the years to come. Can we have a faith for the future? Sunday evenings, starting 10 March, 7o30-8.30pm at St Stephen’s. With time for prayer, worship and a chat over tea! Contact Peter for more details.

OLD HIGH MUSIC The 2019 Season commences on Saturday 9 March at 12 noon when we are delighted to welcome Eileen Mackintosh for her first visit to the Old High. Eileen has had a distinguished musical career as an operatic soprano, conductor and teacher in the US before moving with her Scottish husband to the Black Isle in 2017. She and Robin Versteeg have been preparing an exciting programme of Wagner, Puccini and Ernest Charles for what promises to be a memorable inaugural recital for this new year of music at the Old High. CHURCH SPRING WALK TO ALDOURIE AND LOCH NESS Sunday 3 March. Meet St Stephen’s Car park at 1.30pm, or Aldourie Castle car park at 2pm. Low level walk with various lengths of walk. HIGHLAND FOOD BANK I have received a letter from Lorna at the Food Bank, thanking the congregation for their continued support and donations. She has asked that, for the months of February and March they would welcome donations of tins of corned beef, tins of potatoes, small sizes of washing powder and small sizes of washing up liquid. they are particularly short of those items. MEMORIAL MEETING FOR THE LATE ESTHER NICHOLSON Our friend Esther was also a regular attender at the Inverness Quaker Meeting, who are holding a memorial meeting for her at L’Arche, 13 Drummond Crescent, on Saturday 16 March at 2pm, with refreshments to follow. All of us who were friends of Esther, and who sadly did not get the chance to pay our respects previously, are invited. The meeting will be in the L’Arche workshop at the back of the main house. THISTLE TONES ladies singing group, are holding a coffee morning with music in aid of Blythswood Care at the Town House on Saturday 2 March 10am to12 noon. Tickets £5 adults and £3 seniors.
